Physical operation
What happens
during use.
The fan, sensors, service indicators, and optional Cloud connection require power. The primary shutter, transport cap, and cartridge release do not. The manual carriage release is reserved for service.

Position
Set one of the indexed chassis heights, engage all four caster locks, and lower the stabilization feet onto a level hard surface.

Operate
Opening the soft-close lid wakes the unit. Occupancy starts low-pressure airflow through the isolated cartridge chamber and AirSeal Filter.

Isolate
When load is removed, the spring-closed shutter and double radial gasket close mechanically. A 90-second filtered purge follows.
- 04
Exchange
At Collection ready, close and verify both cartridge closures before releasing the bay. Install a sanitized C12 and wait for the local seal and airflow checks.
With power
Air enters around the seat opening, crosses the cartridge headspace, passes through the rear-right AirSeal cassette and downstream fan, then exits through the downward rear outlet.
At zero battery
The fan, sensors, indicators, purge, and Cloud sync stop. Remove load, close the lid, connect power, and wait for the restart purge and seal check. The shutter closes mechanically and the passive filtered pressure path remains available.
Do not begin a session while the device shows Charge required. Do not reuse or exchange the unit after a power interruption until the local readiness checks finish.

The load frame, cartridge bay, air path, and control module are separate assemblies. A technician can reach service components without opening the material path.
Separated load and cartridge paths
The load surface mounts independently from the C12 chamber. Elastomer isolation and keyed components reduce transferred vibration while preventing incorrect cartridge installation.
Essential states stay on device
Fill, seal, temperature, filter, battery, and service status are calculated locally. Desk Toilet Cloud is optional, and the unit includes no camera, microphone, biometric sensor, or body-weight estimation.

Multi-density foam and a mass-loaded barrier surround the cartridge chamber. Elastomer mounts decouple the load surface and fan from the chassis. Tuned air channels keep the required airflow at a lower fan speed, and the stabilization feet reduce transfer into the floor and desk frame.
Engineering targetThe system-generated noise target is no more than 38 dBA at one meter under a planned controlled method with a 32 dBA ambient floor. User-originated sound is not included. Furnished-workspace results will depend on the room, flooring, desk, installation, and use.

AirSeal + C12
Air handling and
cartridge closure.
Low-pressure airflow draws chamber air through the AirSeal Filter. When load is removed, the cartridge closes inside the unit. Removal engages a second cap before the C12 leaves the keyed bay.
AirSeal Filter
Activated carbon and zeolite filter chamber air before it reaches the fan and downward rear outlet. Differential pressure and a VOC proxy estimate remaining life; replacement is scheduled at 90 days or 120 sessions.
Capacity has one reference
The reusable 12-liter shell has 9.6 liters of approved working volume. Every displayed percentage refers to that 9.6-liter limit. At 42% used, about 4.0 liters are estimated inside and 5.6 liters remain to Collection ready.
Exchange at the service state
Collection ready occurs at 9.6 liters, after 10 calendar days from first use, or earlier under a temperature, seal, or route rule. Typical capacity is 18–24 combined-use sessions; estimated carry weight is 22–28 lb / 10–12.7 kg.
The C12 transport cap includes a passive filtered pressure-equalization membrane. “Sealed” means liquid-contained and tamper-evident, not hermetically gas-tight. AirSeal is not a room air purifier, pathogen-control device, or diagnostic instrument.
Approved use
What may enter
the C12.
The cartridge holds ordinary urine, feces, and standard dry toilet paper in one rigid, baffled sump. No separation, additive, stabilization, or treatment occurs in the unit.

- Ordinary urine and feces during personal use
- Up to 15 g of standard dry toilet paper per session
- Ordinary use by a person taking prescribed medicine
Not permitted
- Any wipe, menstrual product, diaper, or absorbent hygiene product
- Food, oils, wash water, intentionally poured liquid, cleaners, or additives
- Loose medication, sharps, batteries, clinical material, or known infectious waste
After an accidental prohibited input, stop use, leave the C12 installed, report Inspection required, and identify the material to service. Do not remove, open, or empty the cartridge.
Cartridge exchange
Removing and replacing
a C12.
Exchange is a physical two-hand procedure. Two independent mechanical indicators must confirm closure before the cartridge bay can release.

Stage
Place the sanitized C12, gloves, approved wipe, and empty rigid transit vessel beside the unit.
- 02
Check
Close the lid, finish the 90-second purge, and check for temperature hold, leakage, puncture, or visible damage.
- 03
Close
Move the recessed exchange lever to its stop. The shutter closes first; the transport cap engages second.
- 04
Confirm
Check the green shutter flag and green cap band, then wait for the powered Seal confirmed state.

Release
Press the bay release and slide the carriage forward. The release remains blocked until both mechanical closures are present.
- 06
Lift
Use the recessed handle and lower handhold. Lift the 22–28 lb / 10–12.7 kg cartridge upright with two hands.

Store
Check and wipe only the exterior, then latch the C12 upright in its transit vessel for no more than 72 hours after sealed removal.
- 08
Replace
Insert the keyed sanitized cartridge to its stop, close the carriage, and wait for Ready after seal and airflow checks.
If closure does not confirm
Leave the C12 in the bay, return the lever to its start position, and reseat once. If either indicator or the powered seal check fails again, restrict access and request service.
Do not remove
Removal is prohibited during a temperature hold, unconfirmed transport closure, visible damage or leakage, possible shutter contact at Capacity lock, or contamination below the radial gasket.
Fit, power, and service
Placement, charging,
and care.
DT One requires an unobstructed desk opening, a hard level floor, a grounded outlet, and separate clearance for the cartridge, filter, lid, and rear air outlet.
Desk and knee opening
Provide an unobstructed 30 in wide × 24 in deep desk opening, 30 in wide × 18 in deep knee path, and at least 7 in above the adjusted seat. Desk aprons, crossbars, pedestals, drawers, and lift components may not enter those envelopes.
Keep each side clear
Leave 24 in for front extraction, 4 in at the rear outlet, 6 in on the filter side, and 2 in on the opposite side. The outlet must be within 6 ft from a grounded outlet.
Sitting or elevated seated use
Sitting configuration uses a 17.5–20.0 in seat height. Standing-desk configuration uses 21.5–24.0 in; it is an elevated seated position. Never move the desk while the unit is occupied.
Founding-pilot installations require a private home office, enclosed single-person office, approved private coworking office, or qualified lockable one-person booth. An exposed open-plan desk, cubicle, shared room, or freestanding screen is not sufficient.
